I have had the honor of riding for Steezie Beanies for two years. I have also been at Sierra Summit for all my 19 years of life. It is my other home. I have met many friends through riding there and have learned many lessons along the way. I worked my way from just a park rat to a three year park crew member. I have delt with a lot of crap from people, yet I still love to go to work in the morning. I think that I might have the best job in the world at times. I get to ride park all day and see people having a good time and enjoying the features that I built.  I feel that the park is a place where I can always have a good time. But that is the best part of this great sport that we call snowboarding. I can just go and make speed runs, slash powder, launch jumps, and slide the down-flat-down and all my problems are gone. That is what Sierra Summit is to me. A place that I can get away from all of life’s issues. To all of my friends, I will never forget the days of hot lapping through the park. Those are some of the best days of my life. And to everyone else that has ever ridin the park, thanks. It is because of you guys that have made me work harder then I ever thought I would. I hope that everyone will still support the resort next year as China Peak. I will still give my support to it where ever my life takes me. This place will always be may home. As a good friend said to me, “This is an end of an era”. It didn’t really hit me till I got home that evening. the youth has now gotten older and are the ones that are making history. I will be coming back for years to come and hope that, while things change, the resorts vibe will never change. There is nothing like a small resort feel. Goodbye and have a good summer. I hope to see everyone again in the future.
